Liquid Lipo
Liquid Lipo is a FDA approved medication called Deoxycholic Acid which breaks down and eliminates fat cells where it is injected. This is a non-surgical option for treating submental fullness, also called the “double chin”. It is administered as a series of injections to the area under the chin, destroying fat cells and producing gradual results; improving the appearance of your profile. Everyone's profile is different, so your provider will tailor treatment to you. The number of treatment sessions will vary based on the amount of fat under the chin and your treatment goals.
What To Expect During Treatment
The procedure is quick and relatively comfortable. A numbing agent is applied topically to the targeted area. The process takes about 30-45 minutes and involves several injections in the treatment area. Most patients complain of a burning sensation that lasts a few minutes. Swelling will begin immediately and can cause a feeling of fullness or tightness in the treatment area. Results gradually improve as fat cells are breaking down. 2-3 treatment sessions may be needed for optimal results.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Liquid Lipo?
